Module 6 - Set Up Your Seller Central Account

6.3 Familiarize Yourself with the
Amazon Seller Central Backend

After you’ve picked your plan, and register your Seller Central account, watch Amazon’s Introduction to Seller Central video below to familiarize yourself with your Seller Central backend:
We don’t want to waste your time with every little detail on this step. We want to get you to the good stuff and teach you how to sell more as fast as possible. If you do need help setting up or navigating your account, you can find step-by-step instructions and videos here (you’ll need to be logged into your seller central account to view this video).

Caution: You are prohibited to operate multiple seller accounts:

“Operating and maintaining multiple Seller Central accounts is prohibited. If you have a legitimate business need for a second account, you can apply for an exception to this policy.” (Source: Prohibited Seller Activities and Actions)

So be sure to set up your account correctly to begin with. If you’re not sure yet of the company name/structure, then maybe leave this until a little later on.

Let's Create a Basic Product Listing!

To create an incoming inventory order with Amazon, you must have the product added to your Seller Central account so that it can be assigned its ASIN (Amazon Standard Identification Number). That’s why we are going to create a basic product listing next!
